Diandra (Coral) Becenti joined Orthopedic Associates in July of 2009.
Coral grew up in Farmington, and has always been interested in medicine. She graduated from Farmington High School, where she excelled in athletics, and also worked as a student athletic trainer. Coral obtained a BS in Psychology at the University of Maryland in Okinawa, Japan, and then attended the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, NM, where she graduated with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies. She was always interested in the subject of orthopedics, while many of her classmates disliked these studies. Coral did her elective clinical rotation at Orthopedics Associates, and was then offered the position of physician Assistant at the practice.
Coral recently moved back to her hometown of Farmington to be near to most of her extended family.
She enjoys the fact that her week consists of both working in the
office seeing patients and helping in surgery. She also enjoys seeing patients improve. She is a member of AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants), PAOS (Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery), AAIP (Association of American Indian Physicians) and AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society).
Outside of the office, Coral enjoys staying physically fit. When she has time, she likes being outdoors running trails, hiking, or fly fishing. She plays and coaches softball.
